Different Strokes For Different Folks
Of all the debacles this year, I’m coronating the Multi-Genre Research Project as my numero uno. Principally, I got to hold court in the think tank with my blood-brother Liam, collaborate on some dreamy French New Wave, and make a movie about his ex-girlfriend from the sixth grade. Beyond that we were able to probe the different facets of media like the Enterprise, policing law and order in the far reaches of space. The yield was a slacker-rap busting cartoon about Jean Luc-Godard and Francois Truffaut forming a gang, a short film about a creepy dad, my lackluster rambling poem, a rap that makes Chuck D. quiver in fear, and some informational texts, complied for your in-depth comprehension. But the cake-taker was our hands-on work with the genres of media that we discussed, allowing a wealth of knowledge to spew forth from our very own fingertips. And the hilarity ensues…
